Built around your pay, not the calendar
Every bill, ticked off as it goes out.
A household board you and your partner share, set to whatever cycle you are paid on: weekly, fortnightly or monthly. Nothing is linked to your bank. It only knows what you type, which is the whole point.
Free. No bank login. Works offline.
Tap a bill to stamp it paid
Most budgeting apps want your bank login and assume the month is the unit that matters.
Unless you are paid on the first, that is a budget you are constantly translating in your head. PayDay Budget starts from your pay day and works outward, so a week, a fortnight and a month become three ways of looking at the same figures rather than three sets of sums.
Nothing linked
No bank connection, no read access to your accounts, no transaction feed. There is nothing to leak because there is nothing connected.
One board, both of you
Invite your partner and you are looking at the same figures. A change on one phone shows on the other in about a second.
Yours to take
Download a backup file whenever you like. Delete your account and it is gone. No subscription, no upsell.
Three things, in this order.
It works the way a paper budget sheet works, because that is where it came from.
-
FIRST
List the bills
Name, amount, account, due date, and how often. Weekly, fortnightly, twice a month, or on the 3rd. Set it once and it turns up on every board it belongs to.
-
THEN
Stamp them as they go
Tap a bill when the money leaves. If it came out different to what you budgeted, put in what actually left and the difference lands in your bottom line.
-
AFTER
See what is left
In, out, paid, left. For this week, this fortnight or this month, over the same set of bills, so nothing is ever counted twice.
The parts you will actually use.
Bills you tick
Rent, rego, a phone bill. One amount, one tap, done. Enter what really left if it differed.
Pots you spend down
Groceries at $500 a fortnight, logged shop by shop. The row shows what is left, and turns red when you go over.
A figure that does not flatter you
Start with what you already had. It adds only the weeks that have actually happened, then tells you separately where you are on track to land.
On the board, out of the maths
For the bill someone else really pays, or the one you are only keeping an eye on. Listed and tickable, left out of the totals.
Both of you, same board
No screenshots, no "did you pay that". Invite by link and edits appear on both phones straight away.
Works in the supermarket
Add it to your home screen. It opens without signal and sends your changes when you are back on.
Start with this pay.
Put in what you already have in the bank, list the bills you know about, and let it build from there. Nothing to install, nothing to connect.
